Alexandra Maria Lara, a Romanian and German actress working in TV and film is well known for movies like Rush and Downfall Youth Without Youth Control. Born the only child to Romanian actor Valentin Platareu, Alexandra started her career in show business in the early years of her life. When she turned 16years old, Alexandra was able to land prominent roles in a variety of shows on television. Her fame was due to her portrayal on Der Tunnel. This paved the way to other memorable performances, like Adolf Hitler's secretariat Traudl Junge. The Reader is another Oscar nominated film featuring this divas. Over the years Alexandra was involved in numerous noteworthy national and international projects. The projects include British biographical film Control Greek dramatic film The Dust of Time French historical Miniseries Napoleon as well as other. Other roles she has held include being an official jury member for both the Transylvania International Film Festival and Cannes Film Festival.
